"I have been working with dolls now since 2000. Focusing on celebrity portrait dolls for the last 10 years. Portraits have always been my passion, even early in life. Doing my first pencil portraits at 11/12 years of age, I have been obsessed every since. Portraits ( no matter what kind ) are my absolute favorite art to create, period. My main goal is to grow as a repaint doll artist, and this group has certainly helped with that.
Being a part of The Repaint Society has inspired me to push past my own personal artistic challenges. Plus knowing I'm not alone in this sometimes crazy world of OOAK dolls gives me a feeling of comfort and connection"

Laurie is a marvel at making an ordinary doll look like an actual person. You can see her expertise in every fine brush stroke. She has a great eye for the right sculpt to use to get the very best results. She also has quite the talent in recreating costuming and jewelry.
