"My name is Kedra Menish and I have been repainting since 2003. I love painting various types of dolls but I truly love to create the dark ones, which is why I chose Maleficent for my character project. I have been fascinated with this character since I was a little girl. I always felt she was misunderstood, sensitive, lonely, and tortured. When Once Upon A Time decided to showcase her character not only did I love the fact she was going to be in the series but I loved her story line, the actress that played her, and of course that costume!! She has been difficult so far to find fabric for the costuming but with tips from my fellow friends from The Repaint Society, and creative thoughts she is coming together beautifully. I hope I can do this dark beauty justice. My favorite part so far... sculpting the headpiece. I'm halfway done with it and working on her staff and jeweled necklace. I'm really looking forward to her reveal and hope you all feel a connection to this character."
