Once Upon a Time has such a vast cast of characters, it was certainly a difficult job to decide which I wanted to create.
The heart and soul of the show are its love affairs, whether true or twisted. Emma and Graham, then subsequently Hook, Regina and Henry, Belle and Rumpelstiltskin, countless others, and in the beginning the classic Snow and Charming.
I was drawn to Charming's unwavering devotion through the ages... and the promise to always find her.
The fact that Josh Dallas and Ginnifer Goodwin became a real life couple made my choice of creating Charming easy as it cemented our fervent desire to see that fairy tales really do come true!
Here Susan is hand sculpting the sword hilt for a perfect match. And just below, the fabric she designed for Charming's jacket. And further down, the making of his pants, belt buckle and the re-sculpting of the doll face.
