Tinker Bell has always been a favorite character of mine. I ended up changing directions on her concept and embracing her roots as a tinkering fairy.
In my version, we are introduced to a career driven Tynker Belle at the height of the Industrial Revolution in Victorian England. Instead of flying off with Peter Pan, our heroine resides in London to create new machinery and inspire budding inventors.
This of course means incorporating Steampunk elements. I researched everything from historical garb to cosplay to fairy books and pulled together what I call "whimsical practicality": mechanical aspects mixed with Victorian pomp and the fun of being a fairy!
